How Many Products Are You Raffling Away?

General

We've purchased exactly 200 products ranging from manufacturers such as Pioneer, Technics, Numark, Odyssey, Denon, Rane, Ecler, Mackie, EV, JBL, Sony, Peavy, Chauvet, and more.

Once this original stock of 200 items is depleted, the next round of raffles will not take place until July 1, 2010

We've spaced out each raffle so that we have at least 1 raffle giveaway each month, there will be times when we will have 20 raffles going at once, and other times when it will be as few as 5.  But there will ALWAYS be something raffled.

We have the most popular products available, such as the Pioneer CDJ1000MK3, CDJ800MK2, and even the DVJ models.  We also have assorted Ecler DJ Mixers, JBL Line Array Mobile Speakers, Powered Speakers, Power Amplifiers, Lighting, and Equipment Cases.

This is all TOP OF THE LINE equipment.  You wont find anything less than industry standard being offered.

 

 

 

How Do The Raffles Work?

General

It is very simple. The system is no different than buying a raffle ticket from a local organization. The only difference is that our raffles are conducted online, and we always have at least (1) raffle going at any given time.

Here is how it works....

  1. Browse our list of open Raffles.

  2. Choose the equipment like you to win.

  3. Register for an account, verify, then login.

  4. Click the BUY TICKET link next to the raffle that sparked your interest - you can buy as many tickets as you want per raffle!

  5. Wait until the number of tickets for that item has been reached - this is determined by the FULL RETAIL VALUE (FRV) of the item being given away.

  6. Watch for the winning email.

  7. Repeat. Or, not. Your choice.  Enter as many raffles as you want!

 

Simple, huh.

 

What Is The FULL RETAIL VALUE (FRV)

General

This is the actual cost of the item, plus a 10% shipping credit. Once this figure is reached, the raffle is closed, and the winner is announced.

If the shipping cost of an item exceeds the amount of the shipping credit, the Winner is responsible for the difference.

An example:

The item has a retail value of €100, we then add a 10% shipping fee (€10) to that amount, making the FRV €110 - we then sell tickets valued @ €1 - we have to sell 110 tickets @ €1 in order to close out the raffle.  So, say an item is shipping to a winner in Russia, but the item is being shipped from our vendor in Spain.  The total cost of shipping from Spain to Russia is €20 - the Winner is responsible for the balance of €10 to cover the difference in shipping.  This balance can be paid by charging the credit card on file, or the winner can provide payment on a different card (Visa / MasterCard) only.

The 10% shipping credit is usually enough to cover shipping to most parts of the world.  However, there are instances where due to varying conditions such as rural location, or the item is very heavy, and requires special handling, then the Winner is responsible for the difference.

 

What Does It Cost To Enter A Raffle?

The following charges are calculated per raffle ticket purchased:

  1. The Cost of the Raffle Ticket
  2. 5% Processing Fee - this is to cover the fees charged by our Processing Bank.
    This fee is NON-REFUNDABLE
  3. That is it!

Where Do You Ship From?

General

We have partnered with various retailers throughout the globe who will ship direct to the winner.  The item will ship from the most convenient location closest to the winner within 5-10 business days.

PLEASE NOTE: The Winner is responsible for any Taxes/Duties/VAT due on the item - this is NOT determined, NOR collected by us. This is between you and your government.

 

Is Your Equipment 115V or 220V? Will It Work In My Country?

General

Because we ship internationally, this question often gets asked. It is a very good question. 40% of all the items raffled are between the 110-120V 60Hz rating, popular in the USA, Canada, Latin America, and parts of Asia - the other 60% are dual voltage (115V-240V 50-60Hz).

Each item will have it's power requirements listed.  You can than decide if you want to participate in that drawing. We are NOT RESPONSIBLE for providing you with the correct voltage equipment for your country.  At the most you will have to purchase a power converter/transformer for the equipment to properly work in your country. This can be found in any hardware, electronics, and even your local airport (the duty free store!)

Is There A Limit To How Many Tickets I Can Buy Per Raffle?

General

No, we have decided not to set any limits. We do ask that you purchase no more than 5 tickets per raffle. This is so that everyone has a fair chance of winning.

However, if we start to see an abuse of this policy, we will restrict the number of tickets. Please try to govern yourself. We are not here to babysit!

 

How Many Raffles Can I Enter?

General

You can enter as many raffles as you'd like. There is no limit or restrictions.  Of course, if we find that members are taking advantage of our system, we will ban or limit your account.

We RESERVE the right to change our policy at any time.

 

After I Win, When Can I Except My Equipment?

General

Depending on which one of our vendors has been chosen to ship the equipment, and based on your location, we generally try to have your equipment out the door within 3-7 business days. At the most, you might see a delay of 10 business days. This is beyond our control.  Because we deal with various retailers throughout the world, each has their own policy on processing and shipping.  So we are at their mercy.  However, the longer each store/vendor takes to ship an item, the more of a discount we receive for delayed processing of shipments.  This is used as an inventive for each store to ship out as quickly as possible.

Payment to the retailer is only provided AFTER the item has been delivered, and confirmed by the shipping company via it's tracking system.  This is how we can insure that the retailer/vendor WILL ship your product.  In the event that a vendor does not have the required stock for a particular raffle, we always have at least 2-3 back up vendors - just in case.  So you are guaranteed your equipment no matter what happens.

Shipping times will vary from a few days to up to 8 weeks - again, this is all based on where we are shipping to/from, as well as the method chosen for shipping. We ask that you please contact us immediately, if you do not receive your equipment within the allotted time frame.  We can only submit a claim 30 days after an item has been shipped.

Most products are shipped via Standard Air Mail or Standard Ground.  If you'd like express service, you are responsible for the additional charges.  Please CONTACT US within 24-48hours after you have received your winning email in order to upgrade your shipping accordingly.

 

What If I Win? What Is The Next Step?

Our raffles are automatically processed by our raffle script, so you will receive an email within 24hours, notifying you of your winning.

If you are the winner of the raffle... CONGRATULATIONS!

Now, it's time get you your prize...

First and Foremost, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE for the following:


  1. SHIPPING - Some items include free shipping - this will be displayed in the listing.  But for the larger items, because we deal with customers all over the world, it's hard to include this in the price of the raffle ticket.  So, you are responsible for shipping if the prize you won exceeds 25kg (50lbs). Do not worry. We do not inflate the shipping costs. We are not here to make money on shipping. You will pay actual costs for shipping to your location. We ship INTERNATIONALLY from various locations throughout the world.

  2. INSURANCE - Because we ship internationally, all equipment valued over €75 (US$100) requires shipping insurance. This is to protect your shipment from any damage or loss during transit.  If your unit arrives damaged, it is your responsibility to file the claim with the courier.  We'll assist you with any claims, however, the original claim must come from the receiver.  Again, because we deal with so many countries, the policies on damaged shipments for each shipping courier varies.

  3. DUTIES / TAXES / VAT - We are not responsible for calculating or collecting any taxes due for the merchandise you have won. This is between you and your government. With that said, we have no control over what your government is going to charge you once this item passes through customs. AGAIN, this is BEYOND OUR CONTROL. Each country has their own policy on how to handle prize winnings are calculated for tax/vat.  We list the FULL VALUE of each item, in order for the Insurance Value to be the same.  If you'd like us to report the item as a gift, or similar, please CONTACT US prior to shipping.

The total amount due will be sent to you via email.  We can either charge the credit card on file, or you can provide payment with a different card.  To keep things simple, we only accept VISA & MASTERCARD.
 

Can I Transfer My Ticket To Another Raffle?

This varies, and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.  Please CONTACT US if you'd like to transfer a ticket.
 

Can I Return My Raffle Ticket?

General

No, unfortunately we cannot offer refunds or returns on raffle tickets. Of course there are instances where we might consider (not enough ticket sales, item is no longer available, etc), but for the most part... NO. Please be certain before committing to a raffle.

ALL RAFFLE PURCHASES ARE FINAL, UNLESS A RAFFLE HAS BEEN ENDED BY THE ADMINISTRATION DUE TO WEAK PERFORMANCE, SALES, TIME FRAME, OR PRODUCT NO LONGER AVAILABLE.

 

It's Been More Than 30 Days, And The Raffle Hasn't Closed. Now What?

General

You have 3 options at this point:

1) Continue in the existing raffle until all the tickets are sold (until a time specified by administration)

2) We can transfer your ticket to another raffle

3) We will cancel and refund the value of the Ticket only (sorry, we cannot refund the processing fee).

We RESERVE the right to end any raffle, at any time, if it is not performing within our standards or time frame.

 

How Long Does A Raffle Last?

General
The raffle will last until all the tickets for that raffle are sold. This generally takes anywhere from 1-4 weeks, depending on various factors. If for some reason, we have put up an item that is just not selling tickets, and it has exceeded 30 days, we will notify you.  At that point we'll provide you with various options.
 

I Can't Check Out / Finish My Order?

General

If you are having trouble buying a ticket and checking out / or finishing your order, more than likely it is due to your account NOT being confirmed.  When you first signed up for your account, an email confirmation was sent to you.  This is to reduce the amount of spam, and bots which are known to register for fake accounts.  In addition, we need to confirm that you entered your email correctly, so that we are able to contact you to provide you with information on your prize.

Please check your SPAM folder, and insure that you add our email address to your safe sender list.  If you cannot find the original email sent, please attempt to log in - this will automatically send a new confirmation email.  If you still do not receive this email, please CONTACT SUPPORT for manual activation.  They will confirm your information, and enable your account - then you will be able to finish your order.

 

Why Can't I Log In To My Account?

General

If you are having trouble logging in, more than likely it is due to your account NOT being confirmed.  When you first signed up for your account, an email confirmation was sent to you.  This is to reduce the amount of spam, and bots which are known to register for fake accounts.  In addition, we need to confirm that you entered your email correctly, so that we are able to contact you to provide you with information on your prize.

What Is Your Return Policy?

General

Unfortunately, due to the fact that all of the items on our site are prizes in a raffle, and sourced from different countries, we are not able to provide a returns on any of the items which have been won.

ALL TICKET PURCHASES AND WINNING PRIZES ARE FINAL.

DAMAGED / LOST SHIPMENT:
If the unit is damaged or lost in transit, a claim with the shipping courier must be filed - this is something that must be done on your end.  We do take out insurance for the full value of your shipment, to protect you from loss or damage during transit, and we will help you in filing and submitting your claim, but the final decision rests on the shipping courier.  If they decide not to award your claim, there is NOTHING we can do about this.  You may want to seek legal council at this stage.

Our vendors do their best when packing and shipping, but once an item leaves their warehouse, it is beyond their control or responsibility for the item to arrive safely at your destination.  This is the reason we insure eveything we ship.

 

When Is The Winner Chosen?

General
The winner is chosen after all the tickets have been sold, and the FRV has been reached. Within 24-48hrs, our automated system will then randomly select a winner, and notify them via email. You can also log into your account, to see if you have won a raffle or not. This entire process takes anywhere from 1-4 weeks to complete. The more popular a raffle, the quicker tickets sell, the quicker it will close. So, why not spread the word!
 

Do I Have To Pay Taxes, Duty, or VAT?

General

This varies from country to country. The tax collected will be based on the reported value of the equipment.  This is NOT COLLECTED by Our Organization, nor are we responsible for the amount you pay.  We are not here to do the job of your government's tax department.  Generally, we tell winners to expect taxes to be calculated at a rate of 5-10% of the declared value of the equipment. This is COLLECTED by your government, and will normally be due at the time of delivery. WE HAVE NO CONTROL OVER THIS, as it has nothing to do with us. Check with your local postal service and/or trade department for exact rates.

We do find that this is random, but we cannot assure that you will not be assessed by your government.  TAXES DUE FOR PRIZE WINNINGS ARE BETWEEN YOU AND YOUR GOVERNMENT.

 

What Are The Insurance Rates?

General
Insurance is required for ALL shipments, regardless of value and location.  The insurance rate ranges, and it is based on the value of the equipment. Generally, 2.00EUR for every 100EUR.
 

Do You Offer A Warranty With The Equipment?

General

Unfortunately, warranty policies can only be applied to items shipped within the same country of our retailer.

For instance, if you live in Canada, and the vendor who is shipping your item is shipping from Canada, the warranty will apply. For the same scenario, but the vendor is in Mexico, and you live in Canada, there is no warranty for your item.

Once an item leaves it's original destination country, that warranty is void. There is no such thing as an international warranty, contrary to popular belief. We do provide insurance for everything we ship, so you are protected in the event of loss or damage in transit.  Unfortunately, this insurance does not cover manufacturer defects. ALL WINNING RAFFLES ARE FINAL. NO REFUNDS, CREDITS, OR EXCHANGES, UNLESS THE WARRANTY APPLIES TO YOUR ITEM, or WE HAVE FILED INSURANCE.  INSURANCE POLICIES VARY FROM COUNTRY TO COUNTRY.

 

Is This Equipment New Or Used?

General
All products in each raffle are BRAND NEW, FACTORY SEALED, DIRECT FROM THE MANUFACTURER. All of our retailers are Authorized Dealers for the products they sell. Manufacturer warranty only applies if the item is being shipped to the same country as the retailer's location where the warranty applies.
 

Where Are You Located?

General

We operate 3 locations throughout the world - 1) Belize 2) Singapore and 3) Mohawk Territory of Kahnawake  - Our primary offices are in Belize and Kahnawake - our license is held in Kahnawake and we operate under the name LOTUS GAMES.

We work with retailers and vendors from all over the world. Most items ship from metro locations such as parts of North America or UK - where we have more equipment to choose from and better shipping options and rates.

 

Why Are You Doing This? How Can You Operate?

By having multiple raffles, and partnering with various dealers/retailers throughout the world, we are able to secure very low prices, and then pass on those savings to our members. We pool the tickets, and 1 lucky person wins that prize. Because we have multiple raffles, your chances of winning are increased. We are doing this because we feel some of this DJ Equipment is just WAY too expensive for anyone to afford. So, if we pool all of our resources together, everyone has a chance of obtaining the same products for a considerable discount - in some instances, up to 98% off retail! Of course, there are times when you must factor in shipping, insurance, and any taxes due at the time of delivery. But even after factoring those charges, you still come out significantly ahead.

NOTICE:
You need to know what the odds of winning are for each raffle, which is why you'll see each item list it's odds of winning.  You also have to know what your own limits are for each raffle.  The last thing we want is for someone to overextend themselves, and then be in much deeper trouble than they started.  If we see you are abusing our system, or if we feel you are just spending way too much buying tickets, we will limit your account.  We are not here to play big brother, but because this is a form of lottery, and many people have gambling addictions, we are not here to encourage or feed those addictions, and as spiritual and faithful people, we are morally bound to protect you from yourself and this system.  When monitored and controlled properly, it can be a fun, safe, and enjoyable experience.

 

What Is The Processing Fee?

General
We have to charge 5% in addition to the value of the raffle ticket to cover administrative costs associated with using our various payment options. This is so that 100% of the raffle ticket value is applied towards the raffle of your choice.
 

Do You Work With Charities or Non-Profit Organizatons?

General

We donate 6% of the proceeds from each raffle to local organizations.  In addition, from time to time we will partnered up with various international charities and non-profit organizations and donate a portion of the proceeds for a specific raffle.  This is noted in each listing.  Look for the CHARITY SUPPORT banner in the raffle listing.  If your interested in submitting your organization for inclusion in our raffles, please feel free to CONTACT US with your request.  We primarily like to partner with organizations who are strictly funded by local donations, with minimal government financial support, and who align themselves in supporting causes for children.  We are also interested in organizations who assist with humanitarian causes, and animal conservation/protection efforts.
